ABOUT ME 🌟

I'm Karma — an artist, a mother, and a teacher.

I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria — a city whose beauty, history and complexity live in me still. In 2015 I made Denmark my home, carrying with me everything that shaped my eye, my heart and my hands.

My work is built through watercolor, ink, pastel and fine lines — layers that breathe together to create something alive. Art has always been my language — the one that speaks when words fall short. Through color, texture and deliberate marks, I explore the stories we carry, the symbols that find us, and the beauty that exists even in complexity.

When I'm not creating, I'm a teacher at a public school in Vejle, Denmark. I share my life with my husband and two kids who keep me on my toes and teach me new things every day. They remind me that the most meaningful things are rarely finished—they're always becoming.

Damascus gave me roots. Denmark gave me wings. Art gives me everything in between.💙✨️

ARTIST STATEMENT 

My practice moves between watercolor, ink, pastel, and fine lines—each medium chosen for what it can express that the others cannot. I'm drawn to contrast: soft color against sharp lines, the stillness of blacks and bones, and the movement of colors and water. My practice is intuitive and process-led; I rarely know where a piece is going until it arrives.
